I need to know what type of batteries I should use…I think of sticking with deep cycle lead acid, I need to know how much they cost, how many of them, how far they will take, ect. Thank you
Is a gel battery better, because you dont have to water them, and how much water does it take, please explain
DigInfo – movie.diginfo.tv – Related Link www.eliica.com With hybrid cars gaining popularity with manufacturers and consumers alike, Keio University have developed a prototype electric car which can reach speeds in excess of 370 km/h. This version of the car is able to go from zero to 100km/h in 4 seconds, and using Lithium-Ion batteries can travel 200km. Each of the cars 8 wheels are connected to an electric motor which can deliver a combined 640hp. The car is not yet being produced in …
well, i have to make an electric car and i found one on this website
http://www.miniscience.com/kits/CAR_ELEC/
i can make the car but i am also going to cover the inside (u no the batteries and wires, motor etc.)
so i want to attach a switch panel on the outside so i can on the car and make it go but make it stop when i want it to.
Listening to all the talk about electric cars and how physics doesn't allow alternators to renew their batteries leads me to ask a few BIG questions: How do we get the alternators to produce more energy than the car can consume? Also, Why can't we make the axles work for us to turn the alternators using a drive shaft? Why wouldn't stacking alternators work?
and the electric (electrolysis) produced by coal/oil/nuclear/etc why not just have electric cars with a nice clean electric motor.
Batteries could be swapped at petrol stations so no need to wait.
Electricity also comes from solar.
I think industry is tooled up for the internal combustion engine petrol or hydrogen and are unwilling to change
Home handyman Gavin Shoebridge has made his own electric car from parts that he has fitted into an old 1987 Mitsubishi Tredia. 12 Deep cycle batteries, an electric motor and some electronic bits and bobs – a little bit of research – he now has a car that can cruise around without the need to fill up at the gas station. He was getting sick of paying for gas every week. Good on ya Gav – we expect more people to do similar. He has video’s of how he did it on YouTube …
If we're talking about conventional electric cars that have to be plugged in, you have to consider how that electricity is being generated. The majority of power plants in this country are COAL-POWERED. If we all had electric cars, we wouldn't have any exhaust coming out of the cars, but there would be a lot more coal being burned to generate the electricity to charge the cars' batteries. So how does that reduce pollution?
Hi, my name is Ken Davis. I grew up working on cars, and have always been comfortable under the hood. I also care about the environment, and was searching for some way I could do my part to help fight global warming. Saving some money on my gas bill wouldn't hurt either. A friend suggested I take a look at converting one of my cars to run on electricity, and gave me some tips about how to get started. I put together this blog to share my experience.
