Tools for an Electric Car Conversion Workshop B

Here is the second part of the Tools needed for a conversion workshop. Here is a way to boost employment locally

I have a rare vw bus that I want to convert it into electric. I work on forklifts and they are using the same Technology that would be used to do the conversion. I would do all the work myself but I need grant money to help with purchasing batteries.

Would electric be cheaper? I'm planning on buying a 59 caddy.

Electric drift rc car building checklist???

I'm planning on building my own electric rc drift car using a kit from yokomo. the kit includes parts for a full chassis, wheels, tires, and a body. it requires i purchase a radio system, sub c type 7.2v battery, and a motor. I've got most of the parts i would like picked out but i was wondering if someone knew of a website or something that has a checklist of all parts required to construct a complete rc car? I have a pretty good idea but when i was looking into batteries, i noticed you have to get a certain type of connector to match something (different brands were listed), so do you have get a switch and connector that on the "IN" end hooks up to your battery and the "OUT" end is made to fit in certain brands of recievers? Thanks, any info will be appreciated!

Brakes and Tailpipes

result, an electric car’s braking system never needs to be serviced. Many argue that the “disruptor” effect of a car that hardly ever needs parts and service (because it has no engine) threatens the car industry more then anything. Of course, consumers would benefit. Bob explains about all the different mechanisms that a gas engine requires that the electric motor doesn’t need, such as tailpipes, mufflers, or a catalytic converter. Trivia – Bob Sexton is married to Chelsea. In fact they met …

The year five kit car team of Goonhavern School Cornwall designed and built the dual battery powered ‘green goblin’kit car for the championships and trials held at Newquay Tretherras School in July 2008. This film follows the Goonhavern team and covers the second final heat of the Enduro race which involved school teams from Goonhavern, Perranporth, Newquay and St Columb minor. The Newquay Juniors team driving ‘Chough’ ran out the impressive overall winners ahead of The Bishops School …

OK – why not?

Wouldn't assisting the Big 3 in becoming an industry leader in electric technology give the US a competitive edge in manufacturing?

Electric car Pininfarina B0 (B-zero)

To think, draw, design and build cars is not only an enthralling mental process. Nor is it simply a business choice. It is also and above all a great social responsibility. Andrea Pininfarina (1957-2008)

WHEN are we going to have electric vehicles freely available so development on vehicles and batteries can go on, and also when are internal combustion engines going to double or triple their efficiency?
Aren’t the “owners” of the global markets and economies afraid that one day there is no possible carbon dioxide imprisonment? Even now it is no warranty, it’s only but a rising technology that may become an eventual solution!.. :S
You're way out of internal combustion engines practical mechanics Russel. How can you say internal combustion is on the verge of efficiency when, for example, 2 stroke engines use half the steps to perform the combustion cycle? It's not just thermodynamics, all laws set limits. That includes phisics, criminal laws, economics, etc. The human genie tends to overcome them! :)
Regarding batteries, it's also a matter of development. While there is no interest on it, there will be no investment!

It happened years ago but we should preserving what is left of our non renewable oil. What are some affordable electric cars out right now?
you ppl are sheep keep believing the government and sleep well at night
