wow… i wonder which kind of electric motors they use in their cars. do you know? tell me please.
Aren’t electric motors a dime a dozen? Who cares, pick a motor any motor, just about. The magic is in the batteries. THAT is the sole thing holding us all back.

I thought it was so cute, but then again I am a girl. Anyways if I had that car I wouldn’t have to drive annoying ppl around.
it is far easier for the walker to spot the car than the driver to spot the walker. plus a 2-3000 pound vehicle will always win over the person so the rule/law needs to be changed that the vehicle has the right of way.

electric cars are ok for in town short trips. Not if you do a lot of highway driving. Not enough range and usually more speed = less range.
Not true carbons4. Depending on how the vehicle is configured, you could have plenty of highway milage at highway speeds. our 2 converted Dodge stratus’s have NO problem with highway travel.
At what range? Do they allow for enough extra power when you are stuck in traffic jams on top of that?
They “DON’T” use any power in a traffic jam… thats so nice about electric car.. A motor that isn’t spinning.. isnt using any energy.
Yes the motors dont use energy when stoped. What about stop and go???????? Any electric motor when initalized is under max surge current. This can be reduced with a computer controled “soft start” controler. All control circuits are still drawing current. And what about lights or any other accessorys???? What about standard HVAC in a vechile with all electric powerplant? No vacuum for power assisted brakes. Those batterys are heavy. Electric cars are fine for short city commutes.
Dilekz, remember you have a different perspective of hiway driving than i do. I just had a couple people come over from the Netherlands and just the trip from the airport to my friends house ,they could not get over how far we were going. That distance is about half of what myself and many drive one way each day. Kilian1701 what range DO you get out of that stratus?
Kilian1701 would you post some pics and specs on your stratus? If you are retaining the front drive transaxle,manual of course, you could use regenerative feedback to aid in braking and help batterys. Lots of people complain about gearboxes but a light efficent manual box can aid in reducing the loadon the motor/batterys. I am not saying electric cars are a bad idea but until lighter more efficent batterys come to market at a affordable price, they are not right for a whole lot of people.

GM is a faillure they dont know how to build so they say is imposible to build a electric car able to do 300 mile , when u can see all around the web people build there own for like 15 k $ .
did you guys see GMs PUMA vehicle?
they are now trying to compete with The Scooter Store
on wheelchair mobility vehicles
